USF Women’s Basketball Hosts No. 1 UConn Inside the Yuengling Center

South Florida is set to face its second Final Four team from last season

TAMPA, Fla. (December 1, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team continues its homestand on Tuesday, December 2, when No. 1 UConn makes the trip to Tampa. The Bulls (5-3) and the Huskies (7-0) are slated for a 5 p.m. tip on ESPN2 inside the Yuengling Center. Tuesday's game is presented by Hail Law.
 
Earlier today, Raina Tomasicka was named the American Conference Player of the Week. She averaged 17.5 points per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, and dished out five assists. She recorded a career-high 21 points against New Orleans.
 
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls will play their second opponent of the season, who were in the 2024-25 NCAA Final Four. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, South Florida has played 24 AP Top 25 opponents during the regular season non-conference portion of the schedule. Tuesday will be the 25th time, the third-most in the NCAA behind UConn (35) and South Carolina (32). The Bulls are 3-2 at home against ranked opponents.

South Florida and UConn will meet for the 35th time on Tuesday. The Huskies lead the series 34-0.
 
Note-A-Bulls:
With one more steal, Carla Brito will be the third USF player this century to have at least 100 steals, 650 rebounds, 150 assists, and 850 points in her USF career. The other two are Courtney Williams (2012-16) and Jessica Dickson (2003-07).
 
Stefanie Ingram is one of four DI players this season who have at least 40 assists and 10 made threes. The only other USF players this century to reach those marks through seven games of a season are Elisa Pinzan (2020-21, 2021-22) and Shantia Grace (2006-07).
 
L'or Mputu has at least one offensive rebound and one made field goal in 31 straight games, tied for the fifth-longest active streak among all Division I players. The only USF player with a longer streak this century was Courtney Williams, who had a 37-game run (2013-14--2014-15).
 
The Bulls have four players averaging 10.0 or more points per game this season. Edyn Battle leads with 14.2 points per game and averages 43.0 percent from the field. Katie Davidson is second on the team, averaging 13.0 points per game with a 3-point percentage of 32.0. Stefanie Ingram averages 10.5 points per game and leads the team with a 38.5 percent shooting percentage from 3-point range. L'or Mputu averages 10.0 points per game and leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per contest.
