USF Women’s Basketball Falls to No. 14 Vanderbilt

Stefanie Ingram recorded her sixth game in double figures

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 15, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team battled No. 14 Vanderbilt for 40 minutes inside Memorial Gymnasium on Monday. Stefanie Ingram produced a game-high 23 points, but the Bulls (6-5) fell to the Commodores (10-0) 87-58.
 
Ingram was the only USF player in double digits with 23 points. She added four assists, four rebounds, and one steal. Katie Davidson finished with nine points, while Raina Tomasicka chipped in with eight points. Davidson brought down a team-high six rebounds. Carla Brito and Ines Piper each recorded a block for the Bulls.
 
The Bulls got off to a fast start and opened the game on a 7-2 run. Stefanie Ingram accounted for the first five points of the game, and Fatou Diakite added a driving layup. The Commodores ended the first half with a 9-0 run and took an 11-7 lead into the second quarter. South Florida held Vandy to its fewest points in a quarter this season with 11.
 
Vandy extended its lead to 26-11 with just over four minutes left in the half. South Florida was unfazed and outscored Vandy 14-12 to end the half, which cut the deficit to 38-25. The Bulls held the Commodores to 38 points in the first half, tying for the third fewest points in a half this season.
 
Vanderbilt stretched the lead to 56-31 at the media timeout. The Bulls continued to battle and outscored the Commodores 11-6 to close out the quarter. Ingram produced seven of those points. Vanderbilt outscored South Florida 25-16 in the fourth quarter and claimed an 87-58 lead.
 
Mikayla Blakes led the Commodores with 19 points. Sacha Washington added 16, while Justine Pissott tallied 13. Aubrey Galvan produced 11 points, while Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda closed out the double-digit scoring with 10 points.
 
Notables:
• South Florida held Vandy to the fewest points in a quarter, with 11 in the first quarter.
• The Bulls held the Commodores to 38 points in the first half, which was tied for the third fewest in a half this season.
