TAMPA, Fla. (December 22, 2025) – South Florida head softball coach Ken Eriksen has been selected for induction into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, recognizing a career that has defined excellence, longevity, and impact at the collegiate level.

Eriksen, who enters his 29th season at the helm of the Bulls in 2026, has built South Florida softball into one of the most successful programs on campus and one of the most respected in the nation. With 1,171 career wins, he currently ranks seventh among active NCAA Division I head softball coaches and 20th overall in NCAA history.

Under Eriksen's leadership, USF has made 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, highlighted by a historic run to the Women's College World Series in 2012. His program has consistently developed elite talent, producing 10 NFCA All-Americans, two USA Softball Top 10 Players of the Year, and one NFCA Pitcher of the Year.

One of the most notable achievements in program and NCAA history came in 2022, when Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to capture the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. Corrick led the nation in earned run average (0.51), victories (37), and strikeouts (418), cementing her season as one of the greatest ever under Eriksen's guidance.

Eriksen's induction into the NFCA Hall of Fame adds to an already distinguished list of honors. He was inducted into the USA Olympic Hall of Fame in 2012, the USA Softball Hall of Fame in 2016, the Tampa Bay Sports Club Hall of Fame in 2019, and was named a USF Distinguished Alumni honoree in 2022.

The NFCA Hall of Fame induction further solidifies Ken Eriksen's legacy as one of the most influential and accomplished coaches in the history of collegiate softball and as a cornerstone of South Florida athletics.
