TAMPA, FLA. (February 5, 2025) - The South Florida women's tennis team (1-4) looks to continue its winning ways this week, beginning on Friday, February 7, against Florida Gulf Coast (3-3) and concluding on Sunday, February 9, against rival UCF (4-0) in the War on I-4.
Last time out, USF captured its first win of the season with a 7-0 sweep of Florida A&M. Three Bulls earned their first singles wins of the season in the shutout victory: Gargi Pawar, Dharani Niroshan, and Margherita Marcon. Sunday also marked the team's third straight doubles win of the season.
On Friday, the Bulls hit the road for a quick trip down to Fort Myers to face FGCU at 1 p.m. EST. USF leads the all-time series 12-2 against the Eagles. The team is 8-2 in its last 10 matches against FGCU and looks to get over the .500 mark.
The War on I-4 concludes the weekend when the Bulls welcome the UCF Knights to Tampa at noon. South Florida leads the all-time series against its in-state rival, 20-11, and looks to split the War on I-4 tennis series overall between both men's and women's teams.

Head coach Cristina Moros, a former collegiate national champion and four-time All-American, is in her 10th year at the helm entering the 2024-25 season. She was named the 2017 AAC Coach of the Year after leading the Bulls to the conference championship that season.
