TAMPA, March 10, 2025 – The University of South Florida softball team welcomes the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Bryant Bulldogs for a Tuesday doubleheader at the USF Softball Stadium. The Bulls (19-8) and Bulldogs (6-11) are set for a 4:35 p.m. first pitch, followed by the Chippewas (7-12) at 7 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.

Setting The Stage:
South Florida is coming off a series win over the UAB Blazers to open conference play this past weekend. After dropping a heartbreaker on Friday night, the Bulls defeated the Blazers in nine innings on Saturday and closed the weekend with a shutout win on Sunday. Â

Series History:
South Florida is looking for their first win over Bryant, who leads the series 2-0. The Bulls and the Bulldogs met for the first time in 2018.

South Florida leads the all-time series against Central Michigan, 17-6. The Bulls are currently on a three-game win streak against the Chippewas.

Note-A-Bull:
Last week, the Bulls hit five home runs, bringing their season total to 20.
Josie Foreman led the team with three home runs, all in consecutive games. It's the second time this season that she has been on a three-game home run streak.

Foreman has 17 home runs in her career, two away from entering the top ten in program history.

Alanah Rivera is eight doubles away from entering the top ten in program history. Her career total is 29 after adding one on Sunday.

As a team, the Bulls have turned 15 double plays. They lead the conference and rank seventh in the nation.

Additional Notes:
Payton Dixon led the Bulls with a 0.32 ERA last week. She pitched her sixth complete game and her third shutout on Sunday. She earned a spot on this week's AAC Honor Roll.

Kathy Garcia-Soto has 68 assists this season so far. She is second in the nation, two behind Utah State's Ariel Fifita.

Olivia Elliott leads the conference with 27 runs scored. She has scored four runs in two games this season. Last week, she scored six runs.
