TAMPA, FLA. (March 14, 2025) -The South Florida women's tennis team (5-9) looks to continue its winning streak this weekend in Boca Raton, Fla. with a pair of matchups against No. 57 Charlotte (12-2) on Saturday, March 15, and No. 29 Florida Atlantic (7-0) on Sunday, March 16.
The Bulls closed out their five-match homestand with four straight wins, including a 4-0 sweep over Tulane and a 6-1 victory over Toledo to kick-start the run.
During the streak,
Josefine Falster earned her first career singles victory in her debut solo match, while
Gargi Pawar has continued her dominance with six straight singles wins heading into the weekend.
Success in singles has translated into doubles play as well, with
Sienna Leeson and
Margherita Marcon entering the weekend on a five-match winning streak as a duo.
For Saturday's contest against Charlotte, the 49ers come into the match having won 10 of their last 11 team competitions, including three consecutive 7-0 sweeps. Four Charlotte players also boast a singles winning streak of five or more matches.
The Owls enter Sunday's match following a 6-1 victory over Boston University on Thursday and remain undefeated to start the season. Lexi Silna holds a perfect 7-0 singles record, while Malwina Rowinska has won her last seven matches after an 0-3 start.

Cristina Moros, a former collegiate national champion and four-time All-American, is in her 10th year at the helm entering the 2024-25 season. She was named the 2017 AAC Coach of the Year after leading the Bulls to the conference championship that season.
