Tampa, Fla. – Mar. 5, 2025 – South Florida women's basketball (20-10, 13-4 AAC) heads to the Big Easy to close out the regular season at Tulane on Thursday, Mar. 6. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. EST and the action will stream on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.
SETTING THE STAGE
The Bulls are winners of nine of their last 11 games and are looking for their first win in March. The Green Wave have lost four of their last five contests.
THE SOUTH FLORIDA-TULANE SERIES
Thursday is the 53rd meeting between the two squads. USF holds a 32-20 all-time advantage against Tulane. The last clash was a 53-51 Bulls win in Tampa, Fla. (Mar. 2, 2024).

Sammie Puisis scored her 1000th career point at USF during her last game against ECU, which was the 65th game of her South Florida career. The only other players this century to reach that milestone with the Bulls in as few of games are Jessica Dickson (57), Andrea Smith (61) and Kitija Laksa (63).
Mama Dembele has recorded multiple steals in seven straight games, the longest streak by a USF player since Inga Orekhova had a seven-game run in January 2013. She has 22 total games this season with at least two steals, the most by a Bull since Jazmine Sepulveda in 2008-09 (23).
L'or Mputu has recorded at least a 50.0 field-goal percentage and four rebounds in 21 straight games, the longest active streak in Division I. That is also the longest streak in AAC history and the longest by any USF player this century. The Bulls are one of three AAC teams that have not had a double-digit loss in conference play this season, along with North Texas and Temple. The only season this century that USF finished regular-season conference play without such a loss was in 2022-23. USF is 23-1 against Tulane since the start of 2014-15, its most wins against any opponent over that time frame.
