TAMPA, March 6, 2025 – The University of South Florida softball team (17-7) will welcome the UAB Blazers (9-11) to Tampa to start AAC play this Friday through Sunday. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.

On Saturday, the first 250 fans will receive replica USF Softball sunglasses. Sunday will be the Bulls' annual Salute to Service game. On Sunday, fans will receive packet three of the Softball Trading Cards.

Setting The Stage:
USF is coming off a midweek split with the Siena Saints. The Bulls took the first game with a final of 7-1.
Belle Sardja earned her seventh victory, while
Payton Dixon earned her third save. Â

Series History:
South Florida leads the all-time series 17-11 against the Blazers. UAB took the last series, 2-1, in Birmingham.

Note-A-Bull:
Alex Wilkes's third home run in game one against the Saints moves her into a three-way tie for the most points on the team.
Josie Foreman and
Camille Ortiz-Martinez also have three home runs this season. As a team, South Florida is three home runs away from tying last season's home run total.

DaNia Brooks set a career-high of two stolen bases against Siena. In her career, she remains perfect in stolen base attempts.

Anne Long earned her sixth start of her career in the second game of the doubleheader. In five innings, she struck out a career-high nine batters.

Belle Sardja earned her first American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honor. This past weekend, she led with two wins and a save. In 2.1 innings against the No. 1 Longhorns, she held them scoreless and struck out three batters. Â

As a team, the Bulls have turned 14 double plays. They lead the conference and rank sixth in the nation.
