TAMPA, Fla., April 10, 2025 – The University of South Florida softball team welcomes back past players for Alumni Weekend against Tulsa inside the USF Softball Stadium. The Bulls (30-12-1, 9-5-1) and the Golden Hurricane (18-21, 6-9) begin a three-game American Athletic Conference series on Friday at 6:30 p.m. All three games will be on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.

Friday will be a USF Athletes 4 Athletes game, and all student-athletes are encouraged to attend. After Sunday's game, fans can get autographs from select players and a new set of USF trading cards while supplies last.

Setting The Stage:
South Florida is coming off its first AAC series loss against No. 23 FAU but looks to bounce back against Tulsa this weekend. The Bulls are 20-7 at home this season. Tulsa enters the weekend on a five-game losing streak. The Golden Hurricane are 6-7 on the road.

Series History:
South Florida and Tulsa will meet for the 30th time on Friday. The Bulls lead the series 16-13, but the Golden Hurricane have won the last two meetings. USF is 9-8 at home against TU.

Alex Wilkes leads the team with nine home runs, which is tied for 10th most in a single season in program history.

Camille Ortiz-Martinez is tied for second on the team with seven home runs. She has 13 home runs for her career, six away from cracking the top 10.

Josie Foreman is tied for second on the team with seven home runs this season and has 18 home runs in her career. She is one away from tying Carmela Liwag (2002-05) for 10th in program history for career home runs.

Alanah Rivera is tied for first on the team with 10 doubles. She has 31 doubles in her career, six away from tying Kourtney Salvarola (2011-14) for 10th in program history.

Olivia Elliott leads the team with 42 runs scored, which leads the conference and is tied for 37th in the NCAA.Â

South Florida is tied for 12th in the NCAA with 68 doubles. The Bulls are fourth in the nation with 40 sac bunts. South Florida is tied for 26th in the NCAA with 347 hits. Defensively, USF is 15th in the country with 21 double plays.

The Bulls are also leading the conference in four additional statistical categories: hit-by-pitch (44), on-base percentage (0.417), RBIs (239), and slugging percentage (.520).

USF has hit 40 home runs as a team this season. The Bulls are nine home runs shy of tying the program record set in 2016.

Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for ninth in the NCAA and leads the AAC with 97 assists. She has the third most assists in the country at second base.

Payton Dixon is tied for ninth in the nation with 132.0 innings pitched. Her 31 appearances are tied for fifth in the country. She also leads the AAC in complete games with nine and shutouts with three.

Belle Sardja has five saves on the season and is tied for sixth in the NCAA and second in the AAC. Her five saves are tied for the eighth most in program history. Her 11 career saves are tied for fourth most in program history.
