TAMPA, Fla. (August 27, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team is back on the road for another ranked matchup on Thursday, August 28. South Florida is set to battle No. 19 Wake Forest at 8 p.m. on ACCNX from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Setting the Stage
The Bulls enter Thursday's clash with a 1-3 record, while the Demon Deacons boast a 3-1 mark. Last week,
Leire Herraez Gallach surpassed 100 saves for her career.

South Florida has scored a goal in 10 of the last 12 matches.
Series History
South Florida and Wake Forest will meet for just the second time. The Bulls won the only meeting 3-2 on September 15, 2019, in Winston-Salem.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
