USF Women’s Soccer’s Gentiana Fetaj Named to the USC Players to Watch – Midfielders

TAMPA, Fla. (August 8, 2025) – The United Soccer Coaches announced its annual Players to Watch - Midfielders list on Friday. Gentiana Fetaj represented the University of South Florida women's soccer team on the national watch list.
 
After last season, Fetaj earned a spot on the USC All-Region Second Team as well as a spot on the American Conference All-Conference Second Team. She appeared in all 19 matches with 18 starts. She recorded three goals and six assists on the year. She produced match-winning goals against Southern on August 21 and Temple on October 17.
 
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committee to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2024 who are scheduled to return for the 2025 season.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
