TAMPA, Fla. (September 10, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team takes to the road for the American Conference opener against Temple. The Bulls (3-4) and the Owls (2-6) are scheduled for a noon first touch on ESPN+ from Philadelphia.
Earlier this week,
Gentiana Fetaj earned a spot on the American Conference weekly award list with an honorable mention nod. She scored the match-winning goal in USF's match against Stetson.
Setting the Stage
The Bulls are riding a two-match winning streak heading into the American Conference opener in Philadelphia. USF scored a season-high three goals against Stetson. Temple enters Thursday on a four-match losing streak. The Owls lost their last contest 2-1 against Long Island University.

South Florida and Temple will meet for the 13th time on Thursday. The Bulls lead the series 11-1-0 and have won the last six meetings. USF is 4-1 on the road in Philadelphia. South Florida has outscored Temple 17-2 in the 12 matches.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
