IRVING, Texas (September 15, 2025) – The American Conference announced its weekly accolades on Monday.
Hedda Ornberg represented the University of South Florida women's soccer team as the American Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Sadie Sider-Echenberg landed on the weekly honorable mention.
Ornberg led the conference with three goals for the week. She recorded one goal in the South Florida win at Temple. She posted a brace in the Bulls' 6-0 victory against the Grambling State Tigers. She added an assist in the match against Grambling.
Sider-Echenberg scored the second-most points in the conference for the week with five. She scored the match-winning goal against Grambling and added an assist later in the match. Her first goal of the week came against Temple.
Next Up
South Florida returns to Corbett Stadium on Thursday, September 18. The Bulls host the East Carolina Pirates on ESPN+ at 7 p.m.

Chris Brown enters his second season as USF head coach after a record-setting debut in 2024, leading the Bulls to 12 wins and coaching both the American Conference Midfielder of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year. Brown spent 17 years as associate head coach (2007–2023), helping USF to three American Athletic Conference titles, eight NCAA appearances, and a 10-year streak of 10+ win seasons. He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
