USF Men’s Basketball Climbs to Program Record No. 56 in NET Rankings Following Statement Road Win at Tulsa

USF climbs to program record ranking in the NET after a dominant road performance at Tulsa and second Quad-1 win of the season.

January 11, 2026

TAMPA, Fla. – January 11, 2026 — The South Florida Bulls men's basketball program continues its historic 2025-26 campaign, ascending to No. 56 in the NCAA NET Rankings, marking the highest position of the season and in program history.

The 20-spot jump in the NET comes on the heels of a statement road victory and second Quad-1 win of the season, at Tulsa (No. 42), where the Bulls posted a 93-78 win over the Golden Hurricane.

The win represented the fourth-highest NET-ranked opponent defeated in program history. Following the loss, Tulsa dropped to No. 55 in the latest NET rankings.

The Bulls' previous program record NET-ranking (No. 60) came following their Dec. 4, 2025, win over then No. 19 NET-ranked Utah State.

Before this season, the Bulls' highest NET ranking had come at the end of the 2023-24 campaign when they reached No. 73 under former head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim.

The NET Ranking — the NCAA Evaluation Tool used to assess team performance for postseason selection and seeding — was first introduced in the 2018–19 season, replacing the former RPI system. The NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) Ranking has become the NCAA's primary sorting tool for evaluating Division I men's basketball teams.
