TAMPA, Fla. (January 12, 2026) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team is back inside the friendly confines of the Yuengling Center on Tuesday, January 13, at 7 p.m. USF (10-7, 3-1 American) takes on UTSA (8-6. 3-0 American) live on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited (radio).
Tuesday will be the annual Los Toros and Tykes Night. The Bulls will highlight our international representation. Some in-game elements will feature the team as Tykes characters.
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls enter Tuesday on a three-game winning streak. South Florida has had five players score in double digits in three of the last four games. USF could see its second-straight game with five players in double figures for the second time this season. UTSA comes into the game 3-0 in conference play.
Series History:
The Roadrunners lead the series 2-1. USF is 1-0 at home against UTSA, having won the last meeting, 75-63, on January 29, 2025.
Note-A-Bulls:
Edyn Battle has had four straight games with at least 15 points, four assists, and a steal. That is the longest streak by any USF player since Andrell Smith had a three-game run in December 2012. She has 152 points and 30 assists this season.
Stefanie Ingram currently leads the American Conference in 2025-26 with 101 assists and 5.9 assists per game. The only USF players this century to finish a season ranked in the top 2 in the conference in both categories are Elisa Pinzan (2021-22) and Laia Flores (2017-18). She is one of seven DI players this season who have at least 170 points, 75 assists, and 15 made threes. She is the only USF player this century to have these totals within her first 16 games of a season. She has recorded at least two assists in all 17 games this season. That is the longest streak to begin a campaign by any USF player since Elisa Pinzan's 23-game stretch to start 2020-21.
L'or Mputu is one of six active DI players since the beginning of last season to have at least 1,200 minutes played, 8.0 rebounds per game, and a 57.0 field-goal percentage. She is one of three American Conference players this season with at least 50 offensive rebounds and 50 defensive rebounds. The others are Charlotte's Asianae Nicholson and North Texas' Megan Nestor.
Additional Notes:
If five players score in double figures against UTSA, it will be the first time in program history that a team has recorded two sets of back-to-back games with five players scoring in double digits in the same season.
South Florida is a perfect 47-0 since 2000-01 when scoring at least 90 points. The Bulls are one of 11 DI teams with at least 45 wins in such games over that period.
