TAMPA, Fla. – January 5, 2026 — The South Florida Bulls (8-6 and 0-1) hit the road Wednesday as they continue American Conference play, traveling to Denton, Texas, to take on the North Texas Mean Green (10-5 and 1-1) at 8 p.m. ET.
After a double-overtime contest against UAB, the Bulls will shift focus to a road matchup. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ or listen on Bulls Unlimited.

The Bulls enter this game with a KenPom rating of 89, BPI of 85, and NET ranking of 76. The Mean Green have a KenPom rating of 133, BPI of 126, and NET ranking of 153.
South Florida ranks first in the American and 12th in the NCAA, averaging 92.1 points per game. North Texas ranks 12th in the American, averaging 69.8 points per game.
The Bulls are also first in the American Conference in turnovers forced (16.0), turnover margin (+4.5), steals (10.2), assists (17.9), offensive rebounds (15.9), overall rebounds (43.5), three-point attempts (30.1), and in both free throws attempted (29.4) and made (21.7).
While UAB ranks first in the American in three-point percentage defense (opponents shooting 28.2 percent) and scoring defense (63.4).
Series History:
Wednesday marks the third meeting between South Florida and North Texas. The last matchup took place on February 23, 2025, when the Bulls narrowly fell 64-57 in Tampa, Florida.
The only other matchup came the year prior, with the Bulls taking the victory 60-55 on February 3, 2024, in Denton, Texas.
