USF Softball Walks Off Boston College with a Four-Run Seventh Inning

Olivia Elliott has reached base safely in 10 consecutive games

TAMPA, Fla. (February 14, 2026) – The University of South Florida was down to its final three outs before rallying for a four-run seventh inning to walk off Boston College on Saturday. The Bulls (7-4) defeated the Eagles (4-5) 5-4 at USF Softball Stadium.
 
The Bulls were down to the final three outs and trailed the Eagles 4-1. Karhys Pierce led off the inning with a four-pitch walk. Kiley Strott followed with a five-pitch walk. After a pitching change, Grace Rawn came in to pinch-hit. Rawn kept the discipline at the plate and drew a five-pitch walk that loaded the bases. After another pitching change, Toryn Fulton worked the count to 2-2. Fulton lined a one-hopper through the left side, cutting the deficit to 4-2. 
 
Kathy Garcia-Soto belted the second pitch she saw for a ground-rule double over the right-center wall, tying the game at 4-4. Alexa Galligani delivered the walk-off for South Florida with a grounder to first base. Fulton beat the throw home to score the game-winning run. 
 
Kiley Strott led off the bottom of the second inning with a single up the middle. Fulton hit an RBI triple off the right-field wall, and the Bulls took a 1-0 lead into the third. 
 
The Eagles tied the game in the top of the third on a run on two hits. Boston College added three runs on three hits and a South Florida error. BC took a 4-1 lead into the sixth.
 
Fulton led the Bulls with a 2-for-3 game at the plate and tied for the game-high with two RBIs. Garcia-Soto also tied for the game-high with two RBIs. Carley Ernst started the game in the circle and went 4 1/3 innings. She recorded three strikeouts. She allowed two runs, but only one was earned. Hannah Marien picked up the win in 2 2/3 innings of relief. She struck out two batters. She surrendered two runs, but none were earned. She improved to 2-0 on the season.
