USF Softball Welcomes Six Teams for Seven Games Over the Next Six Days

South Florida hosts Stetson, Saint Joseph’s, Marist, Boston College, Colgate, and Indiana

TAMPA, Fla. (February 17, 2026) – The University of South Florida softball team hosts its third tournament in as many weekends. South Florida (8-4) hosts Stetson (8-1) for a doubleheader on Wednesday, February 18. USF then hosts the USF Invitational. Saint Joseph's (2-4), Marist (5-4), Boston College (4-6), Colgate (3-7), and Indiana (7-3) will travel to Tampa. The Bulls open the USF Invitational on Thursday, February 19, against Saint Joseph's, with first pitch at 6:05 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
Earlier this week, Karhys Pierce and Hannah Marien earned honorable mention in the American Conference and were named to the NFCA Top Performances lists. Pierce went 10-for-19 at the plate with four RBIs, two runs, one double, and one triple. She drew three walks and stole three bases. Defensively, she was perfect with 14 putouts and 13 assists. Marien posted a 2-0 record with a 0.58 ERA. She tossed 12.0 innings across three appearances, striking out six batters. She surrendered three runs, only one of which was earned. 
 
Series History vs Stetson:
South Florida and Stetson will meet for the 60th time on Wednesday. USF is 52-7 against Stetson, and the Bulls are 30-2 at home against the Hatters. USF has won the last nine meetings, including a doubleheader sweep in DeLand last season.

Series History vs Saint Joseph's:
The Bulls and Hawks will meet for the eighth time on Thursday. USF leads the series 7-0, including a 4-0 win on February 12, 2023. South Florida is 5-0 at home against Saint Joseph's.
 
Series History vs Marist:
South Florida and Marist will meet for the fifth time on Friday. The Bulls are 4-0 against the Red Foxes, with all four games played in Tampa. The most recent meeting was a 6-2 USF victory on March 18, 2023.  
 
Series History vs Boston College:
The Bulls and the Eagles will meet for the ninth time on Saturday. USF leads the series 6-2. South Florida has won the last three meetings, including a 5-4 victory last weekend in which the Bulls scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to win.
 
Series History vs Colgate:
South Florida and Colgate will meet for the sixth time on Sunday. The Bulls lead the series 5-0. USF is 4-0 at home, including a 3-2 victory in extra innings on March 12, 2024, in the last meeting.  
 
Series History vs Indiana:
The Bulls and the Hoosiers will meet for the 22nd time on Monday. USF holds an 11-10 series edge against IU. South Florida is 10-8 at home against Indiana. The Hoosiers have won the last two meetings.
 
Note-A-Bulls:
Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for the national lead with three triples. She is tied for 28th in the NCAA with 26 assists and is tied for ninth in the country with four hit by pitches.
 
McKenna Schroding is tied for first in the NCAA with a 0.00 ERA. She is tied for fourth in the country with two shutouts, which leads the conference. She is 23rd in the nation with 3.23 hits allowed per seven innings. She is tied for 32nd in the NCAA with a WHIP of 0.77, which leads the American.
 
Belle Sardja is tied for 26th in the NCAA and first in the conference with one save. She is tied for 43rd nationally with seven appearances, the most in the American.
 
Alexa Galligani is tied for ninth in the country with four hit by pitches. Her two sacrifice flies are tied for 13th in the NCAA and for the conference lead.
 
Alex Wilkes is tied for 28th nationally with 26 assists.
 
Kiley Strott is currently tied for 18th in the NCAA with three runners caught stealing, which is tied for the American lead.
 
South Florida is tied for the NCAA lead with 14 hit by pitches. The Bulls are second in the NCAA with seven triples. USF is tied for third in the nation with nine double plays and for third in the country with four shutouts. The Bulls lead the American in all of those statistical categories.
