USF Baseball Scores Program Record 29 Runs in Victory

The Bulls win 29-4 and break the previous record of 26 runs scored in a single game

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 21, 2026) – University of South Florida baseball broke the program record for runs in a single game with 29, clearing the previous record of 26 by three runs. The Bulls (6-1) defeated the Georgia Southern Eagles (0-6), 29-4.
 
The previous record of 26 runs in a game was set in 1999, when the Bulls defeated UAB at home on April 30th, 26-3. South Florida recorded 23 hits in their record-breaking performance, securing the second-place record in program history for hits. The program record is 27 and was also earned in 1999 when the Bulls defeated Saint Louis 22-9 on April 17th.
 
Ryan Pruitt led the team with seven RBIs and extended his streak of one or more hits in a game to seven. Pruitt also hit a grand slam in the bottom of the second. The Bulls have now hit a grand slam in back-to-back games this series.
 
Some other top batters for South Florida were Jevin Relaford, Jack Lutz, Lance Trippel, and Jacob Green. Relaford and Lutz had four RBIs, Trippel three, and Green two. Relaford, Lutz, Trippel, and Bradke Lohry all had three hits on the day.
 
Brock Silvers, Gabe Graulau, and Jackson Geiger made their collegiate debuts. Graulau went two for three and scored two runs. Geiger went 0-1 but recorded an RBI and later scored a run.
 
Michael Senay started on the mound and was the winning pitcher for the Bulls. He pitched 6.2 innings of the seven-inning matchup. Senay recorded four strikeouts and gave up the Eagles' only four runs of the game. He threw 85 pitches, and in the top of the seventh, he would be relieved by James Hill, who would throw the final three and secure the win for the Bulls. Georgia Southern threw seven different pitchers and threw a total of 200 pitches on the day.
