USF Women’s Basketball Travels to North Texas for Saturday Showdown

TAMPA, Fla. Feb. 27, 2026 – The USF women's basketball team (17-11; 10-5 American) will face North Texas (17-11; 11-5 American) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET at the Super Pit.
 
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans and Brian Burton on the call. It will also be available on Bulls Unlimited Digital Radio.
 
The Bulls are tied for fourth place in the American Conference standings entering Saturday's game.
 
Setting the Stage
South Florida is coming off a 75-55 win over Florida Atlantic on Feb. 21, as the Bulls are 7-0 at the Yuengling Center in 2026.
 
Carla Brito recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds for her sixth straight double-double, the second-longest streak by a USF player since the 1999-2000 season. The senior added six assists and now has nine double-doubles this season.
 
L'or Mputu led the Bulls with 17 points in just 21 minutes, shooting 8-for-10 from the field. Edyn Battle added 16 points, six rebounds, and a block, and Stefanie Ingram finished with 15 points and nine assists. Ines Piper tied her season-high with three blocks.
 
Series History
USF leads the all-time series against North Texas, 3-2. The Bulls have won three straight games against the Mean Green, holding them to three or fewer made threes in each victory. South Florida defeated North Texas, 77-61, earlier this season in Tampa on Jan. 3.
 
Note-a-Bulls
Carla Brito has recorded at least 10 points, 12 rebounds, and a steal in six straight games. That is the longest streak in American Conference history and the longest by any Division I player this season.
 
Stefanie Ingram leads the American with 5.9 assists per game and 159 total assists. In February, she tallied 40 assists, 28 rebounds, and 12 steals. The only other DI players with those marks this month are Florida's Liv McGill and Texas A&M's Ny'Ceara Pryor. 
 
Ingram has seven games this season with at least nine assists, the most in the American Conference. The only USF players to have more in a single season this century are Laia Flores (nine in 2017-18) and Anedra Gilmore (nine in 2004-05).
 
The redshirt junior is one of 12 Division I players this season with at least 250 points, 150 assists, and 100 rebounds. She is one of three American Conference players this season, averaging at least 9.0 points and 5.0 assists per game. The only USF players this century to finish a campaign with such marks are Elisa Pinzan (2020-21, 2021-22), Shantia Grace (2005-06), and Anerdra Gilmore (2004-05).
 
Edyn Battle is one of two American Conference players this season, averaging at least 15.0 points and 4.0 assists per game in conference play (ECU's Kennedy Fauntleroy). No USF player this century has finished a campaign with those marks in conference games. She ranks third in the American in free throw percentage (.840).
 
Carla Brito ranks third in the American in rebounding (9.6 RPG), while L'or Mputu is tied for seventh (7.9 RPG).
 
Additional Notes
USF has eight different players this season with at least 100 points and 50 rebounds. That is tied for most in the American Conference (North Texas).
 
USF's active roster has played in a combined 1007 games at the Division I level. That is the most among all American Conference teams and the 12th most among all Division I teams.
 
The Bulls lead the American shooting 44.5 percent from the field and rank fourth in three-point percentage (33 percent).
 
USF leads the league with 16.37 assists per game and a 1.05 assist-to-turnover ratio.
 
South Florida is tied for second in the conference in rebounding, pulling down 40.3 boards per game.
 
The Bulls lead the American in opponent field goal percentage (37.5 percent) during conference play.
