TAMPA, Fla. (February 3, 2026) – The University of South Florida women's basketball team returns to action after a bye to face East Carolina in an American Conference matchup on Wednesday, February 4. The Bulls (13-9, 6-3 American) and the Pirates (16-7, 8-2 American) will meet on ESPN+ at 2 p.m.
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls enter Wednesday's game in fourth place in the conference standings, while the Pirates are in second place. USF is coming off a 66-60 overtime victory over Charlotte. East Carolina knocked off Charlotte 67-61 in its last game.
Series History:
USF and ECU will meet for the 25th time on Wednesday. The Bulls lead the series 16-8, but the Pirates won the last meeting, 66-57, in Tampa last season. South Florida is 7-3 against East Carolina in Greenville.
Note-A-Bulls:
Stefanie Ingram leads the team with 122 assists. She is third on the team, averaging 10.1 points per game. She is one of three American Conference players this season averaging at least 10.0 points and 5.0 assists per game, along with Charlotte's Tanajah Hayes and UTSA's Ereauna Hardaway. The only USF players this century to finish a season with such marks are Elisa Pinzan (2020-21), Shantia Grace (2005-06), and Anerdra Gilmore (2004-05). She is one of seven DI players this season with at least 200 points, 115 assists, and 20 made threes. Ingram is the third USF player this century to reach these totals in her first 21 games of a season, along with Elisa Pinzan (2020-21) and Laia Flores (2017-18).
Edyn Battle leads the team, averaging 14.8 points per game. She has 54 assists, 10 steals, one block, and is averaging 3.1 rebounds per game.
Katie Davidson is second on the team, averaging 11.9. She paces the team with 30 made 3-pointers, which is tied for 10th in the conference. She has 32 assists, 10 steals, and nine blocks.
Fatou Diakite has recorded at least 10 points and five rebounds off the bench in five games this season. That is the most by any USF player in a season since Courtney Williams in 2013-14 (seven).

The Bulls lead the American Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.01), assists per game (15.8), and field goal percentage (44.0). As a team, the Bulls have had 10 different players score in double digits this season. That is tied for the most in the American (Charlotte) and is more than USF had all last season (eight).
USF's active roster has played in a combined 951 games at the Division I level. That is the most among all American Conference teams and the 10th most among all DI teams. South Florida has had 88.1 percent of its assists this season come from upperclassmen. That is the second-highest share in the American (Wichita State – 99.6) and 40th in DI.
South Florida is a perfect 47-0 since 2000-01 when scoring at least 90 points. The Bulls are one of 12 DI teams with at least 45 wins in such games over that period.
