TULSA, Okla. (March 21, 2026) – The University of South Florida softball team returned to action Saturday for the second game of a three-game series against Tulsa. The Bulls (25-9, 7-1 American) lost to the Golden Hurricane (9-19, 1-7 American) by a score of 15-0.
Alex Wilkes and
Kacey Wilkes were the only two Bulls to record a hit.
Alex Wilkes extended her hitting streak to eight games.
Alexa Galligani drew a walk to extend her streak of reaching base safely to six games.
Claira Skaggs put Tulsa on the board in the first inning with a solo home run. The Golden Hurricane extended its lead to 10-0 in the second with nine runs on seven hits, including home runs from Daeya Moses and Maci Cole. Tulsa made it 15-0 in the third inning with five runs on three hits.
Alex Wilkes recorded the first hit of the game for the Bulls in the top of the fourth inning.
Belle Sardja got the start in the circle and pitched 1 2/3 innings. She had one strikeout and allowed three runs on two hits.
Hannah Marien gave up seven runs on five hits.
McKenna Schroding pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief. She struck out one batter and surrendered five runs on five hits.
