TAMPA, Fla. (April 21, 2026) — The University of South Florida softball team returns home for a midweek matchup against FGCU on Wednesday, April 22. The Bulls (33-15) and the Eagles (16-28) are set to face off at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
The first 100 students will receive a voucher for walking tacos. A USF ID must be presented to redeem the voucher.
Earlier this week,
Anne Long earned a spot on the American Conference weekly honorable mention after a strong week. Against East Carolina, she threw two more complete games, going 1-1 over 14.0 innings. She struck out four batters and held ECU hitters to a .182 batting average.
Series History vs FGCU:
The Bulls and the Eagles will meet for the 26th time on Wednesday. The Bulls lead the series 19-6. USF has won the last four meetings, including a 9-1 victory over FGCU earlier this season. The Bulls are 12-3 at home against the Eagles.
Note-A-Bulls:
Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for 21st in the NCAA with five triples, which leads the American Conference. She is also tied for seventh in the country and is second in the conference with 124 assists.
Alex Wilkes has 43 RBIs, which is second in the American Conference. She is tied for the conference lead with 14 doubles.
Anne Long is 14th in the NCAA and leads the American Conference with a 1.55 ERA. She is tied for 44th in the NCAA and is second in the conference with 14 wins.
Belle Sardja is tied for 34th in the NCAA and is second in the conference with three saves.
Alexa Galligani is tied for 29th in the NCAA with five sacrifice flies, ranking second in the American Conference.
Toryn Fulton is tied for 61st nationally and fourth in the conference with four sacrifice flies.
The Bulls lead the NCAA with 53 sacrifice bunts. USF is tied for third nationally with 29 double plays. South Florida is tied for 35th in the country with 13 triples. The Bulls are eighth in the NCAA with a .980 fielding percentage, the best in the conference. South Florida has recorded 20 sacrifice flies, tied for 24th in the NCAA.
The South Florida pitching staff is tied for 35th in the NCAA and for the American Conference lead with seven shutouts. USF ranks 18th nationally and leads the conference with a 2.74 ERA. The Bulls are tied for 27th in the nation and are second in the American Conference with a WHIP of 1.31.
