TAMPA, Fla. (April 23, 2026) — The University of South Florida softball team hits the road for the final time in the 2026 regular season, facing UAB in a three-game series. The Bulls (34-15, 15-6 American) and the Blazers (20-27, 7-14 American) will open the series on Friday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
Earlier this week,
Anne Long earned a spot on the American Conference weekly honorable mention after a strong week. Against East Carolina, she threw two more complete games, going 1-1 over 14.0 innings. She struck out four batters and held ECU hitters to a .182 batting average.
In Wednesday's game against FGCU, South Florida made history by having three sets of sisters play in the same game. The Bulls became the first team to have three sisters record three consecutive putouts in the same inning.
Series History vs UAB:
USF and UAB will meet for the 32nd time on Friday. The Bulls lead the series 19-12 and have won the last two matchups. USF is 8-4 on the road against UAB.

Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for 23rd in the NCAA with five triples, which leads the American Conference. She is tied for sixth in the country and second in the conference with 127 assists.
Alex Wilkes is third in the American Conference with 43 RBIs. She is tied for 37th in the nation and leads the conference with 15 doubles.
Anne Long is 14th in the NCAA and leads the American Conference with a 1.55 ERA. She is tied for 46th in the NCAA and is second in the conference with 14 wins. She is tied for fourth in the conference with two saves.
Belle Sardja is tied for 37th in the NCAA and is second in the conference with three saves.
Alexa Galligani is tied for 31st in the NCAA with five sacrifice flies, which ranks second in the American Conference.
Toryn Fulton is tied for 65th nationally and fourth in the conference with four sacrifice flies.
The Bulls are second in the NCAA with 53 sacrifice bunts. USF is tied for third nationally with 30 double plays. South Florida is tied for 38th in the country with 13 triples, the second most in the conference. The Bulls are tied for seventh in the NCAA with a .980 fielding percentage, the best mark in the conference. South Florida has recorded 20 sacrifice flies, tied for 25th in the NCAA and second in the conference.
The South Florida pitching staff is tied for 26th in the NCAA and leads the American Conference with eight shutouts. USF ranks 17th nationally and leads the conference with a 2.70 ERA. The Bulls are tied for 27th in the nation and lead the American Conference with a WHIP of 1.30.
