USF's Stewart Posts Season-Best Round on Second Day of American Men's Golf Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. (April 28, 2026) – Joshua Stewart posted a season-best round of 5-under 67 on the second day of the American Men's Golf Championship on Tuesday at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla.
 
South Florida sits in fourth place out of 11 teams with a team score of 16-under 560 after two rounds. The Bulls shot 10-under 278 in the second round.
 
Stewart is tied for sixth place out of 57 golfers at 7-under 137 after two rounds. He recorded his first eagle of the season on the fifth hole.
 
Wilhelm Ryding also tied for sixth place at 7-under 137 after shooting a 1-under 71 in the second round.
 
Hugo Trommetter recorded his third round in the 60s this season with a 3-under 69. He is tied for 15th place at 3-under 141 through two rounds.
 
Jackson Spybey shot 1-under 71 in the second round and is tied for 26th place.
 
Nino Palmquist recorded an even-par round and is tied for 31st.
 
Up Next
The Bulls will tee off in the final round at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow from the first hole alongside East Carolina and UAB.

The USF men's golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18.
