USF’s Ryding Finishes Eighth at the American Men’s Golf Championship

SARASOTA, Fla. (April 29, 2026) – Wilhelm Ryding finished eighth out of 59 golfers with a 9-under 207, leading the South Florida men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at 24-under 840 at the American Men's Golf Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla.
 
USF recorded its lowest 54-hole team score of the season at the American Championship.
 
Ryding posted his third consecutive under-par round, shooting 2-under 70.
 
Roman Solomon led the Bulls in the final round with a season-best 5-under 67.
 
Hugo Trommetter recorded his second straight 3-under 69 and finished tied for 11th place at 6-under 210.
 
Joshua Stewart tied for 14th, shooting 4-under 212, while Jackson Spybey placed 32nd.
 
No. 22 Charlotte won the American Championship by 17 strokes at 48-under 816. Memphis' Diego Do Patrocinio Lourenco earned the individual title at 14-under 202.

The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18.
