TAMPA, Fla. (September 25, 2026) – South Florida men's soccer hits the road Saturday for an American Conference match at No. 9 Missouri State, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. ET at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Mo. The match will stream live on ESPN+.
The Bulls (1-6-1, 0-1-1 American) are looking to build on last weekend's result as they face the toughest opponent on their schedule to date. Saturday's match marks the third all-time meeting between the two programs and the first to be played in Springfield.
Setting the Stage
South Florida earned its first point of conference play Sunday, battling Tulsa to a scoreless draw at Corbett Stadium. Junior goalkeeper Alexis Martin was the story of the night, turning in a career-high eight saves to post the Bulls' first shutout of the season despite a 17-9 shot disadvantage.
Missouri State enters Saturday as one of the hottest teams in the country. The Bears (6-0-1, 2-0-0 American) are ranked No. 9 nationally and have not lost in seven straight matches, their longest unbeaten run since a 13-match streak in 2024. Missouri State is coming off a 3-0 win at Temple on Sunday, its second straight American Conference win, and a 0-0 draw against then-No. 16 Kansas City the week prior.

Missouri State evened the series with a 3-1 win in Tampa on October 17, 2025. Both previous matchups were played in Tampa, making Saturday's contest the first between the two schools on Missouri State's home turf.
