2023-24: Started in six and saw action in 31 games for South Florida…started & saw a season-high 26 minutes of action while putting up 10 points in the home win against Tulane (Mar. 2)…contributed 16 points and four rebounds in the victory versus Charleston Southern (Nov. 30)…added a season-high 18 points in the win against Stetson (Nov. 10), which is the most points Alvarez has scored in a game since March 2022 (14 pts, Houston)…blocked a career-best 2 shots against Stetson (Nov. 10).
 

2022-23: Played in 19 of South Florida’s 34 games … Averaged 2.5 points per game and 1.3 assists per outing … Saw her first action of the season against Marshall (Dec. 14) after returning from a season-ending knee injury suffered in the 2021-22 regular-season finale against Houston ... Went 3-for-5 from the field (60.0 percent) against the Thundering Herd for nine points with all three field goals coming from behind the three-point arc in a 77-68 win … Also had nine points at Cincinnati (March 1) on, once again, 3-for-5 shooting with all three from long range. 

2021-22: Played in 27 games for the Bulls earning two starts before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Houston (March 6) at home in the regular-season finale … Averaged 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest in 17.1 minutes per game … Scored in double figures in six games, including season highs of 14 points against West Virginia (Dec. 20) and then Houston in the Yuengling Center in near-perfect shooting performances in both games … Was 5-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from behind the three-point arc against the Mountaineers, and 4-for-5 from the field, including 3-for-3 from behind the arc, and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line against Cougars, before to her injury … Also had 13 points and dished out a career-high seven assists at Cincinnati (Jan. 5) … Had five assists at Tulane (Jan. 12) and four handouts against Jacksonville (Dec. 29). 

2020-21: Had a strong sophomore campaign off the bench after playing in just 15 games her freshman season due to a season-ending knee injury … Finished the year being named the American Athletic Conference Co-Sixth Player of the Year … Saw action in 21 of the Bulls’ 23 games, earning one start against Wichita State (Jan. 6) … Averaged 7.3 points per game, good enough for fifth on the team, while shooting 38.7 percent (48-for-124) from the field and a team-high 40.2 percent (41-for-102) from behind the three-point arc … She averaged 1.95 three-point field goals per game which was fifth in The American … Netted five double-figure scoring games on the year, including a career-high 23-point performance against Houston (Jan. 9) on a near perfect shooting night, 7-of-9 from the field (77.8 percent), 6-of-8 (75.0 percent) from behind the three-point arc, and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line … Alvarez also had an impressive season debut pouring in 18 points against defending national champion, Baylor (Dec. 1) on 5-for-9 (55.6 percent), 4-for-6 (66.7 percent) from three-point range, 4-for-4 from the line … At Tulane (Jan. 13), Alvarez recorded a career-high three steals to go along with her 12 rebounds. 

2019-20: Was enjoying an all-conference type of year before having her season derailed due to a season-ending knee injury in the American Athletic Conference opener against Cincinnati (Jan. 5) … Played in 15 games for the Bulls, earning the starting nod in eight … Averaged 8.8 points per game, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game … Shot better than 40.0 percent from the field six times and over 50.0 percent from three-point range four times … Scored in double figures in seven of the 15 games she played in, and in three of her first four collegiate games … Poured in a career-high 20 points against VCU (Nov. 15) on a spectacular offensive performance, hitting 7-of-10 shots (70.0 percent) from the field, including 5-for-7 (71.4 percent) from behind the three-point arc … Also dropped 18 points against Alabama State (Dec. 6) on 6-for-11 (54.5 percent) from both the field and behind the arc … Also had 14 points, twice, coming against Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 29) in the Cancun Challenge, and against Idaho (Dec. 15) … Dished out five-or-more assists three times on the year, including a career-high six dimes, twice, against FGCU and Mississippi State (Dec. 19) in the Duel in the Desert in Las Vegas.
 
PREP CAREER: Played for Miami Country Day in high school ... Is considered as one of the best long-distance shooters in the country (Dan Olson ESPN W & Collegiate Girls Basketball Report) ... Was a two-time member of the Dick’s Sporting Goods High School national champion ... Led Miami Country Day to six state championships ... Started on her high school team as a seventh grader ... Averaged 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.1 steals per game during her career at Miami Country Day ... Was named Most Valuable Player of the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix in December of 2018 ... Converted a four-point play, off one of her own pass deflections,  with 3.6 seconds left in the semifinals over New Hope Academy (Md.), 61-60 ... She followed that up by helping to guide the Spartans past Windward Academy (Los Angeles) for the title, 52-51 ... Was named team MVP as a junior and senior, and three-time First Team All-Dade County selection as a sophomore, junior and senior ... In addition, she was named 2016 Florida Association of Basketball Coaches 3A Second Team All-State.
 
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: On the international stage, Alvarez represented Colombia in the 2018 FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup ... Her long-distance reputation followed her overseas as she set a FIBA record by draining 10 three-pointers and scoring 35 points against Belarus in her FIBA debut, a 79-75 overtime loss, in July of 2018 on Belarus’ home floor ... Her 35 points was the third best scoring performance in a FIBA U17 Tournament.
 
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Carlos Alvarez and Alba Montes ... Was born in Pereira, Colombia, which is located in the foothills of the Andes in a coffee-producing area of Colombia officially known as the “Coffee Axis,” however has lived in Miami – Bal Harbour – for the last 15 years ... Has two brothers, Javier David and Sebastian Gomez ... Enjoys shopping and playing NBA2K in her spare time ... Is currently undecided on a major at USF.
