Ryan Waterbury

Ryan Waterbury joined USF Athletics as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in august 2017. Ryan works with USF Football and Softball  assisting with all aspects of strength, conditioning, and nutritional programming.

Ryan came to USF from University of South Carolina where he spent four years working with Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball programs as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach. He also worked as an intern (May 2011 - July 2011) and Graduate Assistant (June 2012 - March 2013) at the University of South Carolina where he helped design and implement all aspects of Softball, Men’s Tennis, and Men’s soccer strength and conditioning.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from University of South Carolina Upstate, and a Masters’ of Science Degree in Health Information Technology from the University of South Carolina. He also holds three certifications:  NSCA-CSCS,  USAW, and FIRST AID-AMERICAN RED CROSS. 

Ryan grew up in Columbia, SC and now lives in Tampa with his Wife Sonia, his daughter Reyna his two step sons Sam and Sunny, and their 2 dogs Sammie and Phoebe.
