TAMPA - For the first time since the 2006 season the University of South Florida men's soccer has dropped more than one match in a single season, however it took No. 2 ranked Louisville to hand USF its second setback of the season with a heartbreaking 2-1 double overtime loss in front of 1,286 raucous fans at the USF Soccer Stadium.

Nick Deleon scored the game winning goal just over a minute into the second sudden death overtime to hand the Bulls their first loss since the season opener against Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 1. USF had come into the 2010 campaign with the nation's longest home unbeaten streak at 30 games.

The Cardinals (12-0-2, 7-0-0 BIG EAST), who are ranked No. 2 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll and No. 5 in the Soccer America Top 25, got the scoring started with an unassisted goal by Kenny Walker in the 30th minute on a low liner that skipped past Bulls' goalkeeper Jeff Attinella.

USF (8-3-4, 3-2-2 BIG EAST), also ranked in the NSCAA and Soccer America polls at No. 19 in each, seemingly got on the board with 23 minutes left in regulation when Aubrey Perry lofted a shot towards the goal right at the cross bar and just behind Louisville keeper Andre Boudreaux, who misplayed the ball. The ball would cross the goal line, however the Bulls would experience some misfortune as the score would be waved off.

The Bulls would eventually knot up the score in the 71st minute of play when T.J. Roehn took a pass from Christopher Waugh and buried his first career goal in to the back of the net.

USF would get tremendous contributions from its bench, despite the loss, and at one point was playing a good stretch of the second half with five freshmen on the field due to an injury to Bernardo Anor and the loss one game suspension of Leston Paul who received a red card against Cincinnati on Wednesday night.

"I am very happy with the way that our bench played tonight," said USF head coach George Kiefer. "I also thought that T.J. (Roehn) and Christopher (Waugh) gave us great efforts."

Hasani Sinclair would lead the Bulls with two shots on the night in the loss, including one on goal.

Attinella would record six saves on the night.

The Bulls will close out their 2010 regular season home slate on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. when they face Rutgers on Senior Night.

USF will then travel to the Big Apple where it will close out the regular season against St. John's on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
