What is the Varsity Club?
The mission of the Varsity Club is to encourage past USF athletics members to be lifelong members of the USF Athletics family and to strengthen the bond between them, the University, and the department of intercollegiate athletics. The Bulls Varsity Club will strive to provide its members with the opportunity to foster and maintain relationships across different sports and generations thus promoting the interest and mission of the University of South Florida.

Former USF baseball coach Eddie Cardieri was presented with a bat from the stars of the Negro Leagues during a Saturday afternoon game during the 1997 season when Major League Baseball as well as the minor leagues and collegiate baseball celebrated the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
