Offense was hard to come by for the Bulls in a 52-40 loss at Auburn on Wednesday night.
Augustus Gilchrist was the lone USF player in double figures with 10 points as the Bulls shot 33 percent from the field, 4-for-18 from 3-point range.
"I think we got frustrated out on the court a little when we weren't hitting shots, we were getting good looks, we just couldn't find the basket," head coach Stan Heath.
The Bulls' did a solid job of making sure the Tigers didn't find the basket very often. Auburn committed 14 turnovers and made 17 field goals, including going just 3-for-14 from 3-point range.
Blake Nash stepped in off the bench to post USF's second-highest scoring total of the night with eight points. Ron Anderson Jr. and Victor Rudd Jr. struggled with bouncing back from a sickness and went scoreless.
"Neither one of those guys performed the way they can, they're still getting over a little bit of sickness but I still thought they could have been much more effective in certain situations that they had," Heath said.
The Bulls look to be healthier when they take their home court 7 p.m. Monday against Cleveland State at the St. Pete Times Forum.
