TAMPA – The Bulls continue to dominate and are 6-0 for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

Courtney Williams and Andrell Smith led the way with 13 points apiece and Inga Orekhova added nine points as the Bulls rolled past UNF, 66-44, and improved to 6-0 on the season.

“Courtney Williams is playing better offensively,” said head coach Jose Fernandez.

Both teams got off to a slow start shooting a combined 1-15 in the first four minutes before USF scored the first goal of the game. USF forced 15 turnovers, grabbed eight steals and eight different players scored in the opening half to help the Bulls take a 22-18 lead at halftime.

Andrea Smith led the team with five points before the break. “I like the depth of this team and the different type of lineups that we can play,” said Fernandez.

Freshman guard Courtney Williams started her third game of the season. Williams contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.

“It was a team effort and I was just happy that I could help,” said Williams. “I don't put to much pressure on myself; I just go out there and have fun.”

USF took control of the second half opening with a 6-0 run to take an 11-point lead and led by as many as 28 points. The Bulls shot shooting 32.1 percent from the field, forced 30 turnovers and 15 steals.

“Our kids came out at halftime and answered the bell,” said Fernandez.

UNF (2-5) starting guard Fabiola Josil lead the way for the Ospreys scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bulls will host Florida Gulf Coast University 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sun Dome.

“We have to come back, practice tomorrow and get ready for Florida Gulf Coast,” said Fernandez.
