TAMPA - The Bulls matched the best start in program history after dominating the Dolphins on Saturday in Jacksonville.

Andrell Smith's 15 points led five players in double figures as USF defeated Jacksonville, 92-52, to get to 8-0 for the first time since the 1976-77 season. Inga Orekhova scored 14 points while Andrea Smith, Tiffany Conner and Courtney Williams added 10 points apiece in the Bulls' highest-scoring game of the season.

Williams and Shavontae Naylor combined to grab 17 of USF's 53 rebounds in a game that saw the Bulls thrive close to the hoop. USF held a 46-20 advantage in points in the paint and edged the Dolphins, 26-12 in second-chance points.

USF's defense was solid as usual and held its sixth consecutive opponent to less than 60 points while improving to 3-0 on the road. The Bulls forced 24 turnovers (14 steals) and scored 30 points off takeaways.

USF held a 47-26 advantage at halftime and wound up shooting 48 percent from the field a game before heading back to the Sun Dome to host No. 25 Nebraska on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.
