After
two match wins in a row, the USF men's tennis team wasn't able to put
up win number three on Sunday at #34 VCU in Richmond, Va.
Juan
Carlos Acuna Gerard was the lone winner in singles play, but it
wasn't enough for the Bulls as they fall to the Rams 6-1 at the
Thalhimer Tennis Center.
VCU
is the Bull's ninth ranked opponent this season. The only ranked
opponent the Bulls have knocked off this year was on March 8 against
#75 University of Pennsylvania.
The
highlight of the day came from junior Juan Carlos Acuna Gerard who
took down VCU's Antoine Baroz in two sets, 7-6, 6-2.
In
doubles, partners Wael Kilani and Federico Sabogal battled with the
Rams' Wennakoski and Svensson. They came up a game shy and fell 8-6.
The
Bulls will face their tenth ranked opponent when they head to Baton
Rouge on Tuesday to face #25 LSU.
