The USF men's tennis team lost another close match against a ranked team Thursday afternoon at the USF Varsity Courts.
The Bulls kept it close in their 4-3 loss to No. 45 University of South Alabama.
USF lost the doubles point, with only partners Yannick Yoshizawa and Oliver Pramming winning 8-4 against their opponents.
The three winners for the Bulls were all able to defeat their opponents in just two sets.
Wael Kilani won at the No. 1 position, 7-6, 6-2.
Federico Sabogal beat his opponent 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 position.
Juan Carlos Acuna Gerard was able to get the third point for USF, winning 7-5, 6-2.
Ravi Patel and Guillermo De Vilchez were both able to push their opponents into a third set but could not come away with the win.
The Bulls will return to USF Varsity Courts to host their first conference match of the spring season against Notre Dame this Saturday at 12 p.m.
