TAMPA - After losing the point in doubles play, the USF men's tennis team fought back to seal a 5-2 win against No. 75 University of Pennsylvania on Thursday.

The Bulls came out to a rough start against Pennsylvania but were able to take five in singles play to get the win at the USF Varsity Courts.

Partners Yannick Yoshizawa and Oliver Pramming were the lone winners in doubles play and beat Ivan Turudic and Nikola Kocovic 8-6.

"We didn't play well in the doubles and we were really concerned coming out in the singles," said head coach Don Barr, "but they came back, fought hard, and we took five of the six singles."

Juan Carlos Acuna Gerard defeated Pennsylvania's Rob Wong at the fourth singles position in just two sets, 7-5, 6-0, to gain the winning point for USF.

The Bulls will be back at the USF Varsity Courts Friday to face Penn State at 2 p.m.
