A very tough Olivia Chance picked a great time to have her best game as a Bull on Friday night.

The freshman found the net twice in the second half to help USF women's soccer team cap off a 2-1 comeback win over the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

“I'm really proud of her,” head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said. “We finally moved her to an attacking center/midfield role, which is a new position for her. She just kind of fit in comfortably and we were able to flip two balls to her that she finished really well.”

Kate Twohig gave the Cougars (1-4) a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute and the score stayed same until the 70th minute when Chance recorded her first goal as a Bull off an assist from Bianca Norman. There were less than three minutes left in regulation when Chance struck again after capitalizing on a nice assist from Daniella Andrade.

“You could kind of feel it coming. It was one of those games where you felt your team was going to win, they just had to keep working at it,” Schilte-Brown said. “I was really happy with them.”

Freshman keeper Christiane Endler made four saves to help USF (3-3) snap a two-game losing streak. The Bulls will shoot for their second win of the weekend at noon on Sunday when they face Kennesaw State in the College of Charleston Cup.
