TAMPA – Cristin Granados provided the offense and the Bulls' defense continued to dominate in a 1-0 victory over Temple on Friday night before a crowd of 689 at Corbett Stadium.

Granados, a junior from Costa Rica, scored the go-ahead goal from 15 yards out in the 49^th minute as USF finished with a 21-5 advantage in shots. The Bulls improved to 6-2-3 and 1-1-0 in the American Athletic Conference.

“The girls' discipline defensively was very, very good,” head coach Denise Schilte-Brown said. “It can be frustrating sometimes not to score multiple goals when you're in possession a lot, but I thought they were patient and optimistic.”

A constant attack helped the Bulls post their sixth shutout of the season while sophomore keeper Christiane Endler posted two saves.  The Bulls have surrendered just six goals in 11 games and came into the contest ranked 24^th in the nation in goals against average (0.56).

Granados' second goal of the season was assisted by Demi Stokes while a total of 20 Bulls saw action in the historic league win.

 “It was a very big (win) and we got to play a lot of players,” Schilte-Brown said. “I think if the girls really focus on their recovery we can put a strong performance together and get two wins on the weekend.”

The Bulls finish up the weekend with a test against UConn 1 p.m. Sunday back at Corbett Stadium.
