TAMPA - The Bulls made quick work of Cincinnati on a hot and
humid Tuesday at the USF Varsity Courts.
USF easily clinched the doubles point and went on to defeat
the Bearcats, 5-2, in its fourth consecutive victory. Head coach Agustin
Moreno was happy to see the Bulls cruise because they'll be back out in the heat
Wednesday to host Harvard.
"We had to try to win as fast as we could since we have a
match tomorrow. It was very hot today, so it was a tough day to play," Moreno
said.
Kayla Rizzolo and Danielle Mills got things started with an
8-1 win before Katie Vasenina and Loreto Alonso-Martinez clinched the doubles
point with an 8-2 victory.
The Bulls took care of business quickly in singles play by
getting straight set victories from Vasenina, Alonso-Martinez, Fanny Fracassi
and Alessandra Bonte.
USF-Harvard is set for a 2 p.m. start on Wednesday and
admission is free at the USF Varsity Courts.
