TAMPA – Sara Nevins tossed her first no-hitter of the season while Monica Santos and the Bulls' bats definitely had the left-hander's back in a 10-0 victory at Pitt on Saturday.

Nevins (15-5) struck out 12 batters and walked two in the first game of a doubleheader at Petersen Sports Complex. USF (30-11, 8-1) has won seven straight and 24 of its past 25 games.

Santos' three-run homer in the seventh inning highlighted USF's 24^th victory in its past 25 games. The freshman fouled off two pitches before capping off the scoring with a blast to left field that marked the her second homer of the season. Ashli Goff went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Kourtney Salvarola also went 2-for-4 with an RBI to raise her team-leading batting average to .364.

Salvarola, Kenshyra Jackson and Morgan Litchfield each hit RBI singles in USF's three-run first inning to give Nevins more than enough support in her fourth-career no-hitter. The junior threw three no-hitters last season, including two on consecutive days.

Goff hit a two-run single with two outs during the Bulls' three-run third and Stephanie Medina hit an RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth as USF finished with nine hits.
