TAMPA, MARCH 7, 2014 –
The Bulls put together an impressive performance to kick-off a busy weekend blanking South Alabama 7-0 Friday afternoon at the USF Tennis Courts.

“I am really proud of the guys with the way there are competing,” said head coach Matt Hill.  “I thought they did a great job being mentally tough today and finding solutions during the matches in order to find a way to win.  That is something that all great players do so that was encouraging to see.”

No. 53 USF quickly won two doubles matches to take the point as the 35th ranked duo of Oliver Pramming and Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz won 8-5 at first doubles while Roberto Cid and Vadym Kalyuzhnyy down their foes 8-7 (4) in second doubles to clinch the Bulls the point.

Federico Sabogal won the first singles match for USF in the fifth spot taking down Gerhard Gruindelingh, 6-1, 6-0.  Pramming was next to pick up a win downing Manuel Belda 6-4, 6-2.  Kalyuzhnyy and Cid both finished almost simultaneously for the Bulls to clinch the match as they posted 6-3, 7-6 and 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 victories, respectively.
