MEMPHIS, JAN. 31, 2015 – Courtney Williams' sixth consecutive 20-point game and a huge second half from Alisia Jenkins propelled the USF women's basketball team past Memphis on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Bulls (17-4 overall, 8-1 The American) used  an 11-point, 16-rebound second-half effort from Jenkins to pick up their 11th win in 12 games, out-rebounding Memphis 48-31 en route to the 57-53 victory.

Trailing for 45 seconds in the first half, the Bulls played from behind for only the fourth time this conference season, but got 15 first-half points from Williams to quickly retake the lead.

Freshman forward Laura Ferreira knocked down a pair of big three-pointers, scoring all eight of her points in the first half to hand USF a 30-27 at the break. For Ferreira, it was the 12th consecutive game with at least one trey, and eight with multiple three-pointers in that time span.

After turning the ball over 11 times in the first half, the Bulls gave up just eight possessions in the second, getting high-energy play and offensive production from Jenkins and junior point guard Shalethia Stringfield. The duo combined for 20 of USF's 27 second-half points, with Williams contributing five of the seven remaining points.

In the final 90 seconds and with Memphis on an 8-0 run, Stringfield knocked down four consecutive free throws, icing the win for the Bulls and finishing with nine points.

Williams led USF with 20 points, finishing with nine rebounds and five steals while hitting four 3-pointers. Jenkins' 11 points and 19 rebounds was enough for her 14th double-double of the season, while Ferreira's eight rebounds tied a career high for the freshman.

USF returns home Tuesday, facing UCF for the first time this season in a 7 p.m. game on the Sun Dome floor.
