ATLANTA, MARCH 27, 2015 – Laura Argente Escamilla, Olga Martinez and Vera Bessonova each posted singles victories in USF's 4-3 loss to Georgia State on Friday afternoon at Piedmont Park.
Georgia State (9-8) took the doubles point before the Bulls got on the scoreboard with Argente Escamilla's 6-2, 6-0 win over Marcia Tere-Apisah in the sixth singles position.
Georgia State pulled back ahead with a victory in the fifth singles spot and USF bounced right back with Olga Martinez's 6-4, 6-1 win over Niri Rasolomalala in the second singles position. Bessonova tied the match up at 3-3 with a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Masa Grgan in the top singles position.
USF (3-13) looks to bounce back Saturday at noon against conference foe Tulane in Atlanta. The Bulls finish up a five-match week with a test at Kennesaw State 11 a.m. Sunday.
