FORT WORTH, TEXAS, APRIL 4, 2015 – No. 22 USF gave No. 10 TCU a battle in a 4-3 loss at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulls (14-6) rallied from eight match points down to seize the initial doubles point from TCU (17-6). Roberto Cid and Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz got USF back to even ground with a 6-4 win in the third spot before the 36th-ranked duo of Oliver Pramming and Justin Roberts outlasted the 19th-ranked team of Nick Chappell and Will Stein, 7-6 (7-3).
Sasha Gozun earned USF's second point of the match with a 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 1-0 (11-9) victory over No. 76 Guillermo Nunez. No. 20 Cid finished off his solid weekend with a 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over No. 35 Chappell.
The Bulls jump back into American Athletic Conference play with a home match against Memphis on Friday, April 10 at 3 p.m. Admission is free at the USF Varsity Courts.
