TAMPA, JULY 16, 2015 – Former USF men's soccer star Yohance Marshall scored a goal for the ages Wednesday at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Down, 4-3, with less than a minute remaining in stoppage time, Marshall headed home a corner kick to give Trinidad and Tobago a draw against Mexico. Seven goals were scored after halftime and Marshall's clutch play helped Trinidad and Tobago win Group C.

"I've never gone through a final five minutes like that with the national team; with my club teams and school teams, yes,” Marshall said in an Associated Press report. “The emotions are high — they go up, they go down. You can be disappointed, but at the end, we were elated.”

Stepping up in big moments was something Marshall did often in his time with the Bulls. The NSCAA All-American was a three-year captain at USF and helped the 2008 squad post a school-record 12 shutouts in 22 games. The defender from Malabar Arima, Trinidad was a member of the L.A. Galaxy from 2009-10 and has played for Trinidad and Tobago since 2010.
