KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C., OCT. 25, 2016 – USF women's golf finished its fall season with a 15th-place finish at the Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
USF (+70) moved up one spot on the leaderboard on the final day of competition at Turtle Point Golf Course (par 72, 5,972 yards). Campbell (+15) won the event and was followed in the top five by Coastal Carolina (+17), College of Charleston (+19), Ole Miss (+24) and Kennesaw State (+30).
Maria Rodriguez (+9) led the Bulls for the second straight event, tying for 28th place and finishing just one shot outside the top 25. The junior from Cali, Colombia was USF's top performer this fall with a 75.0 scoring average and one top-10 finish in three events.
Ashley Burke (+12) posted her best score of the tournament in the final round with an even-par 72 that included four birdies. The senior from Boynton Beach tied for 40th place with teammate Nicole Autrique. Burke recorded the Bulls' third-best scoring average of the fall with a 75.8.
Autrique (+12) started the event with a 1-over 73 and cut five shots off her second-round score with a 75 on Tuesday afternoon. The senior from Mexico finished the fall with USF's second-best scoring average of 75.6.
