Box Score TAMPA (Oct. 7, 2016)— In the women's soccer installment of the War on I-4, the Bulls and Knights split the six points up for grabs after 110 minutes of play ended in a 1-1 tie.
Gudrun Sigurdardottir tied the game in the 35th minute on her second goal of the season. Trudi Carter dribbled through the UCF defense and was knocked down, but was able to pass the ball to Sigurdardottir. The Iceland native needed just one touch to find the back of the net and make it a 1-all game.
UCF struck first in the 12th minute on a goal by Morgan Ferrara. Ferrara's shot went off the post and took a bounce off the post, ricocheting back into the net.
In the first overtime, UCF nearly ended the game just minutes in, but this time the post would work in the Bulls' favor as the shot ricocheted off and was cleared by sophomore Kelli Burney. The Bulls made a last-minute effort, notching four shots in the second OT period, but couldn't find the golden goal.

USF will hit the road and head northeast for a pair of conference matches. The Bulls will face Temple on Oct. 14 in Philadelphia and UConn on Oct. 16 in Storrs, Conn.
