Box Score TAMPA, MARCH 21, 2016— Juli Weber hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh as the USF softball team won its 18th-straight game, topping Northwestern, 3-2.
After the Wildcats tied the game in the top of the seventh, the Bulls (26-9) answered back, picking up their second walk-off win in as many days.
With two outs on the board, Lindsey Devitt drew a full count two-out walk and was replaced at first by Kristen Wyckoff. On a 0-1 pitch, Weber roped a double to centerfield, plating Wyckoff and giving the Bulls the win.
The Bulls broke a scoreless tie in the middle of the third on a bases-loaded, RBI fielder's choice from Lee Ann Spivey. The Bulls used two walks and a single from Astin Donovan to load the bases with two outs. Spivey hit a slow grounder to the third baseman, but Donovan showed her speed, beating out the tag and allowing Amber Atkinson to score from third to make it a 1-0 game.
