Box Score TAMPA (March 26, 2017) – The USF softball team couldn't get the bats going in the series finale with Tulsa, falling 5-0 Sunday afternoon. The Bulls dropped to 0-3 in conference play and 20-18 on the year while Tulsa sits atop the conference standings at 3-0 with a 23-10 overall record.
Tulsa struck for a pair of runs early, using an RBI double and RBI single to take the 2-0 lead after two complete innings.
In the fourth, Tulsa would extend its lead, using four straight singles to plate three runs and taking a 5-0 lead.
USF would notch just two hits on the day as Lauren Evans broke up the perfect game bid with a one-out single in the fifth inning. Bethaney Keen would record the other hit for USF in the seventh.
